DvT UK in association with Converse Theatre are delighted to announce that the 2nd European DvT Conference ‘Going Down & Coming Up’ will take place on Friday 27th, Saturday 28th, Sunday 29th May 2016, in Bristol, United Kingdom. The City Bristol is the largest city in The South West of Britain. It is one of the most creative, playful and progressive cities in the UK, with vibrant art, music, theatre, animation and culinary scenes. It is home to the enigmatic street artist, Banksy and street art adorns many walls in the city. Bristol is European Green Capital 2015, surrounded by beautiful countryside and the sea is nearby. The city is served by an international airport and low cost airlines, including Easyjet, Ryanair and others, offer routes to and from most European countries. It is 1 hour 45 minutes from London by train. The Spaces The conference will take place in Hamilton House 80 Stokes Croft, BRISTOL BS1 3QY. www.hamiltonhouse.org. The six storey former Insurance block was squatted for a while and now operates as a social enterprise offering spaces to artists, dancers, therapists, theatre makers, community organisations and hosts a range of other happenings. On the ground floor there is a bar and restaurant The Canteen, serving locally sourced, reasonably priced high quality food. The Canteen also has live music every night. The Canteen is owned by Bristol’s mayor, who is a strong advocate for the arts.
